2. Data We Collect

When you use Cironet Marketplace, we may collect:

• Account data: Name, email address, and phone number — provided when you create an account or check out.
• Order data: Products purchased, quantities, amounts, shipping address, and payment method used.
• Authentication data: A secure session token managed via auth.cironetug.com. We do not store your password on this platform.
• Usage data: Pages visited, products viewed, and items added to cart — used to improve the shopping experience.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device — collected automatically via server logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Processing and fulfilling your orders
• Sending order confirmations and status updates by SMS and email
• Providing customer support
• Preventing fraud and securing your account
• Improving our platform based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising outside of Cironet's own platforms.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with parties necessary to deliver the service:

• CironetPay (pay.cironetug.com) — processes your payment. Your payment details are handled directly by the payment gateway and are never stored on this server.
• Cironet Messaging (messaging.cironetug.com) — sends order SMS and email notifications on our behalf.
• Cironet Auth (auth.cironetug.com) — manages your identity and login credentials securely.

5. Cookies & Sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and to hold your shopping cart during your visit. This cookie is not used for advertising. A shared authentication token (cironet_token) is stored on the .cironetug.com domain to enable single sign-on across Cironet's platforms.

6. Your Rights (Uganda Data Protection Act 2019)

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to processing of your data

7. Data Retention

We retain order data for 7 years to comply with Ugandan financial and tax regulations. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the marketplace homepage. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
